About

At the heart of my teaching is the balance between stability and fluidity, precision and exploration, strength and softness. I offer class formats ranging from alignment-based vinyasa to slow flows, somatic movement and restorative yoga. Above all, I teach for the joy of movement: landing back in the body, getting curious about it, feeling all the cool strong things it can do, and exploring ease and rest too. My vinyasa classes are strong and not rushed. The strong quality comes from precision and body awareness: I love to get nerdy about where a movement begins, how weight is carried, where effort sits and how the breath moves, so people really arrive in each pose noticing what needs engaging. For me, alignment is about function, orientation and direction. My cues give clear reference points in space from which to move confidently, and tools for both control and ease within the more challenging poses and transitions (rather than chasing end range of motion or aesthetics). From the stability we build from the ground up, movement can then open up into something more fluid and expansive. My slower classes consist of flows that keep the whole body moving mindfully and continuously, often close to the floor. Somatic elements shift the focus to subtler sensations and bring in wriggly, wave-like, yielding movements. Yin and restorative yoga poses become islands of rest that offer grounding and time to become fully quiet. I began my training in 2019 at the Yogaflat in Copenhagen, where I went on to teach for several years. Further trainings have shaped my teaching since: functional anatomy and injury prevention inform the variations I offer for different bodies, pelvic floor health shapes how I work with the deep core and breath, my own somatic and dance-based practice feeds the more fluid side of my classes, and restorative yoga guides how I lead into deep rest.
